For sale is a Mint Condition (New) Spiked Chef's Carving Plate. Made of solid Walnut and Stainless Steel, this screams Late 1960s, early 1970s. Tough enough for deployment into the workflow of a commercial buffet line. Elegant enough to blow away friends and family at those special occasions when loved ones gather. I love to cook and I had to think long and hard before listing this through my EBay business. This one really blew me away when I saw it on the table at the estate sale from which it was acquired. The Walnut base is heavy. Between the wood and the spikes, this is truly a steadying tool for the professional chef. The overhead spike post is adjustable in height and swivels away when not needed. It also may be completely removed which converts the plate into an awesome serving tray with it's shiny late -mid-century handles shining almost as bright as the smiles on the faces of the expectant diners that watch it go by. Time to carve away. Still has it's Made in Japan sticker. I'm going out on a limb by claiming this carver is 'NEW', but not very far on that limb since there is no indication anywhere that it has ever been put to use. All of the stainless steel hardware disassembles form the Walnut base and will be the case when shipped. Some re-assebly will be required. A simple slotted screw-driver is all that will be needed to whip this baby back together. If you don't have a slotted screw-driver, a butter-knife will work, LOL. This item sells AS IS with No Refunds or Returns permitted. No problem with this item, since at first glance, the last thing the buyer will be thinking about is returning it.
