So when it is spring time the seedlings will be ready to get bursting with growth with the longer light hours and warmer weather. Grow these on your windowsill, shelving or where ever you like. Put outdoors when weather gets warmer. These are gorgeous!!! All gardeners/growers need plants like these in their collection)))*** ((( Our FRESH 2015 Rose seed stock is in and ready for you to grow ))) How to Grow Rose From Seed Soak seeds in water for 1-2 days indoors. Keep only the seeds that sink. Ones that float should be discarded. 1. Fill the planting tray with high-quality commercial potting soil. A mix created especially for seedlings is preferable. 2. Place the rose seeds in the tray and cover them with about 1/2 inch of potting soil. Now set in fridge and cold stratify the seeds for at least 2 months. Or you could just plant rose seeds outside before first frost in the fall. They will start growing in the spring. ((Stratifying seeds first is advised for better germination but you can jump right to soaking, then planting and put in a warm place to germinate. Doing it this way though germination rate might be lower and germination time can be longer)) 3. Pull tray/trays of seeds out of fridge in early spring and spray the soil lightly with a mister. Slide the planting tray into a large, clear plastic bag and seal the opening with a twist tie. 4. Put the tray in a warm place that gets indirect light. Although you may not have to water the tray while it's in the greenhouse atmosphere of the plastic bag, it should be checked periodically. If the soil appears dry, remove the tray and spray the soil lightly, then return the tray to the bag. 5. Watch for seedlings to emerge and roots to develop. When they do, take the tray out of the plastic bag. This will take approximately 40 days. Move the tray to a sunny window and keep the seedlings moist. 6. Transplant the seedlings to small pots when it appears that they are beginning to outgrow the planting tray. After the danger of frost has passed, plant the seedlings outside in a location that gets full sun for most of the day. They can be started anytime of year and kept in pots as a houseplant also. They will add a great fragrance to your home. Roses live for many many years. Also look up more growing info on google for more reference.
