By absorbing water molecules, a silica gel sachet will reduce the relative humidity inside a package to levels at which condensation will not occur. This particular orange silica gel product is widely use in the drying of foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals, in the preventing of moisture in semiconductors and precision mechanical equipment, and in rust prevention as the indicating silica gel were reformulated removing the Cobalt Chloride (II) to make it safer to use and environment friendly. *NOTE: *For your convenience all silica gel are packed in clear plastic to monitor saturation of the beads. The Indicating beads will turn from Orange/Yellow (OY) to Green when it absorbs about 60% moisture. The silica gel can be reactivated but may not be worth the effort. Highly effective in enclosed containers. Note: 50grams of silica gel will protect 3.75 cubic feet of enclosed space.
