It is a tiny gadget that you plug into your iphone or ipad/tablet (both Apple and Android) that you can swipe your customers' credit cards on. Box also says: "1. Download the Staples Mobile Register app (avail. on App Store and Google Play), 2. Create an account by clicking the "create account" link in the app. 3. Plue in the Staples Mobile Register and accept payments immediately. A fee of 2.5% is charged per swipe transaction and 3.5% plus 15 cents per keyed transaction. 0 monthly fees."
