Up for sale is a Starrett 257D Surface Gage.  This item is in as new condition in the original factory box.  I bought it 5 years ago, and never used it.  It is complete with all parts.  There is no rust or damage on any of the pieces.  It has been stored since new in a clean, dry, and smoke-free area.  The set includes:  Universal Starrett surface gage and a hardened steel scribe.  Base is 2-9/16" (L) x 2 3/8 " (W).  Supplied with 9" & 12" spindle lengths. The base has a V-groove for centering on round parts. The pins extend to act as guides along an edge. The micro-ground base sits/slides on a granite surface plate perfectly. Very rigid design with nice micro-height adjustment.
