Starrett 450-12 Dial Depth Gage The Starrett 450-12 dial depth gauge has a measurement range of 0 to 12" and a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.001". The white face dial displays in U.S./metric and a knurled nut holds gauge settings securely. The gauge is made of hardened stainless steel for durability and accurate measurements. Base extensions of 7" and 12" (sold separately) are available to increase the base span. This dial depth gauge is suitable for precise measurement in a variety of manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering applications.Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.
