ITEM SOLD AS IS. FOR CONNECTION OF STARRETT ELECTRONIC TOOLS TO THE PC For use with Starrett electronic micrometers, calipers, height gages and 2600 series indicators. Connects one electronic tool a 9 pin male communications (serial) port on a PC. Can be adapted to 25 pin ports with standard PC connectors and gender changer. The computer interface cable conditions the signal of Starrett electronic tools to a true RS232 output. Starrett electronic hand tools, as most in the industry, use 3 volt batteries for power. This output must be raised to 5 volts to create a true RS232 signal. Circuitry in the computer interface adapter accomplishes this and the PC is presented with a truRS232 ASCII character set.
