Here is a Starrett No. 2 - 1" to 2" outside micrometer that is in excellent condition. It has been used so you will find a few minor cosmetic imperfections but nothing that will hinder its usefulness.The thimble spins easily without any hesitations. Smooth! The lock and friction thimble works perfectly, just as designed. This micrometer is still very accurate as well. This is demonstrated by Starrett standard in the third photo. This standard is not included. The spindle and anvil faces are not carbide but look as if they were mirrors. This is demonstrated by the reflection of the dollar.
