Here is a Starrett No. 25-111-S dial indicator with a ??? German inspection base that are in good used condition. These tools have worked very well together. They have been used so you will find some scratches, scuffs, missing paint, and a ding or two from normal use. The vintage ??? comparator base is in good condition. There are no manufacturer names anywhere on it. As you can see in the last photo, Made in Germany is the only writing on it. Everything slides around easily and locks down tight wherever you want it to. The Starrett .025" dial indicator reads into the .0001". It was obviously made for the Bridgeport Machines INC as thier name is witten on the dial. The plunger moves easily without any hesitations and always returns to "0". Smooth! The clear plastic lens has yellowed a bit and it has a few scratches on it. It is still easily readable. This American made indicator and Germany made inspection base are both ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision tool box.
