Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Mitutoyo No. 513-118 dial indicator that are in excellent used condition. They have been used so you will find a minor cosmetic imperfections but nothing that will effect their usefulness. One of these imperfections is that the original owner lightly scribed his name, PHIL, on the backside of this micrometer. (See the last photo),Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice used set of precision tools. The No. 657A base turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. It is great for getting into those tight places those larger magnetic bases just won't fit in. The fine adjustment knob helps make setting up this indicator a breeze. The Mitutoyo dial indicator is also in very good condition. The clear plastic lens has a few scratches but still easily readable. The needle moves easily in both directions and always returns to "0". Smooth!! There is an extra indicator point and mount included. The plastic protective case has done a very good job of protecting this indicator. It has a few scratches, scuffs, and dirt on it from doing its job. It opens easily, snaps shut, and holds these tools securely. It has done a very good job keeping this indicator set safe. It will continue to protect your indicator for years to come. These tools have a vertical reach of about 11" and a horizontal reach of about 8".
