Here is a Starrett No. 659 heavy-duty magnetic base with a Brown and Sharpe No. 7301-10 dial indicator with a range of .250" and a resolution of .001". These tools have worked very well together. They has been used so you will find a few minor cosmetic imperfections but nothing that will hinder thier usefulness. These imperfections include that the previous owner scribed his/her name on the backside of this indicator and on the side of the magnetic base. You can see this in the last two photos. Please don't let this take away from what is otherwise a nice set of used precision tools. The Brown and Sharpe indicator spins easily without any hesitations and always returns to "0". It is not the best looking indicator but it works great! The magnetic base has some scratches, scuffs, and a few dings suffered from normal use. The magnet turns on and off easily with just a turn of the lever. It sticks solidly to any flat steel surface. Everything slides around easily and locks down tight wherever you want it to. The fine adjustment feature helps make setting these tools up a breeze. Everything will work perfectly for you! I guarantee it! This set up has a vertical reach of approximately 22 1/2" and a horizontal reach of about 12".
