The STATES Current Test Probe, also known as Part No. 15000, is a high-quality product in great condition. Along with the probe, you'll also receive a pair of test leads that are six feet long. This test probe can be easily inserted at right angles to the test block, making it a convenient and useful tool for anyone who needs to measure current safely and accurately. It's important to note that opening up the secondary circuit of a CT while carrying current on the primary is extremely dangerous and could be fatal. That's why the STATES Current Test Probe provides a safe and quick connection for indicating and testing instruments without requiring you to open current transformer secondaries or disturb existing wiring. This test probe is "NEW-other," meaning it has never had test leads attached to it and therefore hasn't been used. It is specifically designed to be connected to an ammeter and inserted into the current circuit via an FT current jack on a protective relay, metering device, transducer, or other similar device. Once in place, you can read the current safely and easily.
