Stearns, Cold Water / Ice Rescue Immersion Suit, Closed-Cell Neoprene. According to various web resources it is a one-piece suit of 100% closed-cell neoprene intended to provide buoyancy and insulation designed for rescue operations in extreme cold water and ice conditions. Potential buyers desiring additional information are welcome to contact me. I'll do my best to answer any questions but, for detailed information you are encouraged to contact the manufacturer, Stearns. Their website shows a current model extremely similar to this suit. Sizing imprinted on the suit: Adult - Universal. Weight range: 110 lbs to 330 lbs. Maximum height: 6' 3". Maximum girth: 48" Also features: Head covering with face seal and flap. Attached gloves with velcro straps that appear to be for tightening / snugging around the wrists. Waterproof zipper and sealed seams. Reinforced knees and elbows. Integral chest harness with stainless steel D-rings front and back. Features SOLAS-grade reflective panels front and back. Thick soled attached boots with tread for sure footing. There is no foot size imprinted on the suit but with the universal body sizing most likely one size fits all. 1 large (front right hip) pocket with drain hole. Includes detachable rescue whistle. Date imprinted on the inside states manufactured 4th quarter 1997. NO USCG approval seal can be found on the unit. - Certification by USCG is unknown. "Pre-owned" is a better description than "used". Suit is in good condition. Upper left chest has hand written "Fairview Beach Boat 3" in faded black marker. As stated, suit was received from a northern Virginia public safety organization. My local UPS office quoted $40.00 to ship UPS Ground from Virginia to Washington state. Please use this as a rough guide as to the cost of shipping. I will not ship COD but will ship in line with a buyers preference. UPS' quote included insurance for $300. I see that Ebay is listing different and much lower shipping rates. Not sure how this is. I am not charging any "handling" fee buyer pays straight up actual shipping cost.

“Acquired recently from a northern Virginia Public Safety organization. Suit was represented as having been in storage for an unknown period of time and does not appear to have been used (or at least minimally). No obvious wear at the elbows or knees. No scuffs, discoloration, etc. Suit appears very clean. View photos and/or email with any questions. I'll do my best to answer.”
