TI/Stellaris - Black Jaguar (MDL-BDC24) Intelligent 40A Motor Controller The Jaguar is an intelligent motor controller for brushed DC motors.  These controllers provide advanced features including: 6-30vdc operation 40A continuous, 60A surge (2 sec) 15kHz PWM frequency pwm servo-style control input CAN-bus networked control RS-232 control input (includes bridge to CAN) analog potentiometer-style control input automatic position and velocity closed-loop control modes optical encoder inputs hard limit switch inputs (forward and reverse) automatic configurable ramp rate overload and over-temperature protection soft limits brake/coast modes Intelligent control lets you offload the major motor control functions from your computer; this improves responsiveness and reduces CPU load.  Connect a wheel encoder to your Jaguar and it can automatically adjust power to the motor to maintain a desired speed, load, or reach a desired position.  Optional limit switches let you prevent mechanism damage even if software fails. Using CAN bus allows you to control all of your motors from a single CAN or RS-232 serial port on your computer.  The Jaguar controller will bridge RS-232 commands to the CAN bus.  You can also use an Ethernet-to-CAN bridge (2CAN) to provide Ethernet network control (see my other auctions).  CAN wiring is robust and easy to make using inexpensive locking telephone/Ethernet-style connectors. For more information, see the Getting Started Guide. I have several of these Jaguars and they were all working when taken out of service and are in good condition; this auction is for one Jaguar; I no longer need them so they are available for your robotics or motor control applications.  If you need more than one, I'll offer a discount e.g. $100 for two units Check my feedback, bid with confidence.
