This is a Stentura 400 SRT Electric Stenograph machine. Machine is in good physical condition with scuffs and marks from normal usage, absolutely no structural damage at all. Machine powers on with no issues (green light turns on). I verified that pressing on the keys activates the print head and that the roller moves properly, everything looks to be in good working order. All of the keys are straight and press smoothly with no hesitation or binding at all. There is an ink ribbon cartridge included; although it is old so not sure how much life it has in it, the ribbon is sold as-is.  New ribbon cartridges are readily available for these units all over the internet (they are relatively inexpensive).  The unit also contains a rechargeable battery; the battery is used so there are no guarantees on battery life or longevity. When the AC adapter is plugged in; the red charging LED lights up indicating that the battery is charging.  I did verify that the unit will operate on battery power alone, so the battery still works, although I'm not sure what the overall life of the battery is. This unit will support real-time and has the real-time communications port on the back, but no cable is included.
