This is a Stentura 8000 LX Electric Stenograph/Court Reporter machine. This steno type machine is in fair physical condition. All of the keys are straight and move properly, several keys have scratches on the surfaces. Serial Number: 8064633 Unfortunately, this machine is non-working. It has the smell of burnt components inside. I opened it up and can see that at some point the machine was over-oiled which led to the oil seeping on to the circuit board and on the connectors. I suspect that this shorted something on the boards which led to the main board failure. I did attempt to clean it up, but even after cleaning the machine did not power on. It is sold as-is for parts/repair. This auction includes the bare machine, no battery, no ink cartridge, no power supply and no tripod. Only the machine as pictured.
