The STERN McCARTHY ACMI RESECTOSCOPE LOOP 224, with patent number 1679950, is a high-quality urology endoscopy cystoscope made in the USA. From the impressive Melvin Fatter, M.D. vintage collection, this instrument is in good working condition and is also a collectible item. The resectoscope working element consists of a nickel-plated brass and nylon carrier designed for cutting loop, examining telescope, and 24, 26 or 28 Fr. irrigating sheaths (all sold separately). The instrument boasts a long thin distal end with two open channels, one wide and one narrow, for the loop and telescope, respectively, as well as a narrow tube for irrigation outflow. Additionally, there is a C-catch for sheaths and an outflow stopcock located distal to the open rectangular rack-and-pinion loop carriage. Furthermore, a vertical nickel-plated brass crosspiece extends below the toothed bar rack and has a rotating nylon handle. The rounded nylon top of the crosspiece has an electrical connection terminal, while the thumbscrew on the proximal end of the carriage holds the telescope. The instrument is marked with "STERN MCCARTHY - PAT. NO. 1679950" and the ACMI trademark. It is the responsibility of the buyers to pay for all customs charges, including taxes and duties.
