This was my uncles saw. He used in his masonry business to cut block and rebar. It lost spark and got replaced with a ts400 a long time ago. Handle got lost in a move. I used to be a stihl technician and was going to overhaul it until I checked on parts prices. It's been kicking around under my work bench in the garage for years so it's time to go. Saw has good piston and cylinder. Have disassembled to inspect. The tank had a small amount of rotten fuel in it. I drained it all out. Removed the carb to inspect. No signs of fuel deposits but did not disassemble it. The top end looks very good, probably about 80 hours on it. There is some carbon build up on the piston top that could easily be scraped off. The saw has no spark. I suspect the ignition unit needs to be replaced. This is an expensive part and in addition to the missing handle/throttle system I lost interest in getting it running. Has a lot of good parts. It's about 2/3 of a good running saw. If you have one with a blown top end put them together and make a good one. No fastening hardware for blade, belt is decent but has some cracks. Grab handle foot has a cracked foot but still in decent shape. Will come broken down to fit into a large usps flat rate box.
