The listing is for 5.5 pounds of pure strontium metal 99-99.5%  The metal in the petri dish is about 454 grams and the listing will give you 5.5 times that amount in a "cake" that you can break up with a masonry chisel and a small sledge.  The metal is sealed in a can and must be transferred to mineral oil upon opening to reduce oxidation.  You can open the sealed can of strontium with tin snips. We sell the anhydrous white paraffin oil for this type of metal for $85/gallon plus $9.00 shipping.   Many of the mineral oils out there will be reactive to the metals and they will continue to oxidize.  This is a special proprietary grade that is good for all our metals of this nature.  This material will be shipped in accordance with all 49 CFR rules for UN1393.  The metal in the petri dish was broken up with the chisel and shows off the long grainy texture of the metal.  We have Sodium metal, Potassium metal, Lithium metal, Cesium metal, Rhodium metal, Gallium metal, Rubidium metal, Calcium metal, Indium metal, and many others.  Let us know what you need.  Thanks, GalliumSource, LLC.
