The controllers of series STU1xxxx will be programmed with one of two type’s firmware 1. COM PORT mode or 2. HID Device mode According to this there are two versions of the software for them. COM Port Mode This is the simple mode of operation. When connecting to a computer, controller will be installed as a serial port (COM PORT). Download the driver from here. The controller can be operated from any program that can communicate through a serial port in binary form. There are only 5 commands. Applications software uses these commands to read inputs and switch outputs. If using a double power, when you disconnect the computer, outputs retain their status. This mode is useful when you want to manage the controller from your program. If you use the controller with software application, we suggest you order it with software in the second mode - HID device. 1280x720 COM PORT Mode HID device Mode This is the full mode of this controller, here you can see its rich possibilities. In direct mode output, fully covers the first mode (COM PORT). You can switch directly the outputs from software application. You also have many more opportunities for input and output. All logic is built into the controller, the computer is used only for monitoring the status and programming modes.
