Sturges Etching Press Model CP4, manufactured and refurbished by Conrad Machine Company. The press bed is 18" x 48". The press is in excellent condition. This press has seen very little use, without a spot on ink anywhere. The bearings have been kept lubricated and are perfect. The Sturges line of presses is the oldest press line in the United States, dating back to approximately 1917, when Lee Sturges, a noted printmaker, began making presses for himself and his friends. The press, bed, and stand together weigh just under 350 lbs. Also included is the custom made table / cart designed and manufactured by Conrad Machine Company.
