Here we have a Liberty sump pump model S35. Serial # B26 014981. Mfg. Date is March 2006. Rated at 1/3 Horse and 6.5 amp. Switch is probably bad, won't turn on. Photos show rust from immersion in water, but it has been thoroughly cleaned with water and bleach solution, as noted below. Was immersed in driveway sump that contained water, mud, and leaves, etc. This is an automatic sump pump and will cycle on and off when water in sufficient amount is present. The pump will be shipped with all original wires and special connectors, all wiring in excellent condition, see photos. This pump was kept in a driveway drain area for about two seasons. It was in low use location and it cycled perfectly but no more than 10 or 12 times since driveway flooding was rare. I removed pump from drain area recently and cleaned out leaves and other debris from bottom of pump. The pump was also hosed down and sprayed in water circulation areas with a mixture of bleach and water. It has never been exposed to chemicals or toxic debris, only rainwater, mud and leaves in driveway drain area. After cleaning, I did a trial run and it DID NOT turn on, so I believe there must be some problem with the switch. I believe the motor and pump are ok, and that this pump has a lot of life left in it. I am not a tech. and can only guess about this. Even though the pump was mfg. in 2006, I purchased it new about two or three years back and, as mentioned, it had VERY LIMITED use in the driveway, so I believe the pump and motor may well have most of their working life ahead of them if they can find the right owner who understands pumps. This pump is best suited for a tech. who understands how to rebuild pumps or repair switches, etc. Since this unit needs to be described as for parts or repair, start price in auction will be low and there will be no reserve. Location is NYC and due to weight, I would prefer local pickup and inspection at no charge. If shipped, cost would be $26.85 well-packed.
