Polyester is fairly heat resistant, with a maximum of 200-220 degrees Fahrenheit, however, it might not be as chemically resistant as polypropylene. These filter bags are ideal for filtering water or oil-based solutions that are not too thick, with more information available at the "Products" tab of our website www.sccfilters.com. This article introduces the Sunmicron PN PESG-010-WS-SS1 Filter Bag in Size 1 (7"OD X 16"L) made of glazed non-woven polyester felt and rated at ten micron (nominal). The bag has a steel ring sewn into its top and a smooth outer surface that prevents fiber migration. Industry standard in size, it is ideal for fine filtration and boasts significantly higher efficiency than most filter bags available. It is highly recommended for use in a closed, pressurized system, especially when working with thicker or highly concentrated solutions. Cleaning and reuse are not advisable, and have a strap sewn across its mouth for easy removal from its filter housing.
