These were purchased at a local auction and are working as they should. I put the probes about 4 inches in the ground on the west side of my house and ran the units side-by-side on a seven day cycle for nine days. You can see by the graphs that the recordings were consistent and that Mondays are cold.  Both have their original power supplies for plugging into mains and their original backup battery packs. The use of a 9 V battery is not recommended. AA batteries not included. Both units work as they should with the display lit up constantly when running on mains and flashing to indicate when it has switched to battery backup. Both have a used Partridge pan installed and a new cartridge pan stored in the door. Neither unit has the battery door cover on the back. Both come with probes. Each will come with approximately 40 new graphs of varying part numbers.  The display in the picture looks much brighter than it actually is but it is easily bright enough. If there are two for sale then you get choice of the two in the picture. Just let me know if you want A or B.
