Camtronics Inc has been in the CNC business since July 1993. No other Ebay seller has been around that long!. Camtronics was the first Beta tester of the G540 and helped Mariss at Gecko drive resolve some issues with the prototypes. Camtronics Inc. has a stellar record for service and after sales support. The Super G540 is unique. It is the only system that comes with the 4 DB connectors for Probe, Relay, Home/Limit switch and a VFD connector. The power supply is a 48V 500 Watt supply that will run in industrial settings. The Front panel has a lighted power switch an ESTOP switch and an engage /disengage switch. This switch allows you to manually move the dual shaft stepper motor manual or simply to shut off the outputs. As far as I can see this is the only control unit on EBAY with that feature. The back panel has a relay controlled 120V receptacle that can run a 700 W load from Mach3 or EMC. There is a fused IEC power entry module and a cooling fan that keeps the G540 and power supply cool. Man\y of my competitors either don't have this or add it as an extra, The G540 are the latest model with a 6-2014 manufacture date code. There are two male db9 connectors and 2 female db9 connectors as described above. The motors are low inductance 380 oz in stepper motors rated at 3.5A per phase. The System comes with an IEC power cord , parallel port cable, 3 db9 6ft cables and a CD with a mach3 There are home hobbyist selling G540 systems. None have been in the CNC business for 21 years. Some of them don't have an ESTOP switch and none of them have an engage/disengage switch that lets you manual move and axis without shutting down the program or the G540. I do. Additionally some don't even have a safety fuse on the AC side of their control box. Others claim that they use shielded wires for noise immunity. Poppy cock! The G540 has opto isolators on all of the signal inputs and shielded wires are not required. Others don't even have a cooling fan. One guy brags about using a plastic case and adding both a cooling fan and a heatsink on the G540. I build CNC systems for a machine tool company. I have built over 700 systems including the G540, Servo systems and more powerful stepper systems. So whom do you trust?
