Portable Alarm That Sounds When It's Moved ( only available in Blue ) Super Loud, as Loud as the 110DB Piezo Sirens I sell !!! This Alarm is triggered by Physical Movement of the surface it is attached to. I suppose that means it could even be used to alert you to Night-Time Earth Tremors (if that's a concern in your area). This Alarm does not rely on an Infrared (IR) Motion Sensor (which would only sense movement on one side of the door or gate it would be mounted on). This alarm works best when mounted on swinging doors or gates. It has poor sensitivity to lateral movement, so it would not work well on sliding doors. It can be used to alert you when toddlers open cabinets or doors where dangerous chemicals are stored. Or maybe you just want to be alerted when something is disturbed, such as your Laptop computer when it's in a public area. The documentation says this alarm was made for monitoring the entry to swimming pool areas; but it says nothing about the unit being weatherproof. So, one must assume it isn't weatherproof. In reality, it's just a portable alarm that senses being moved and sounds an alarm. Attach it to anything, and then Arm it. The alarm will then sound if it detects physical movement of whatever it's attached to. Once armed, the unit requires entry of a security code to disable it, or to silence the alarm if its been triggered. Quick Activation of the Panic Alarm can be done by simultaneously pressing the two bottom Right-Hand Keys.
