This is a stapler we bought with great intentions of using it for a non-profit fundraising project, but the print shop donated the service. I opened one of the boxes of staples to test the stapler on a couple of stacks of paper, but other than that, it has never been used. It comes with two boxes of staples: S.F. 39 Heavy Duty Staples 1/2" - quantity 5000 (used for up to 90 sheets of 20 lb. paper) S.F. 39 Heavy Duty Staples 3/8" - quantity 5000 (used for up to 60 sheets of 20 lb. paper) Durable metal and extended capacity A serious stapler for serious stapling jobs, the Heavy Duty Stapler from Swingline boasts an impressive 160 sheet stapling capacity. Durable metal components and a full 2-5/8" throat depth delivers maximum performance with increased flexibility. To gain better control over your large stapling jobs, the Heavy Duty Stapler includes a precision staple alignment guide. The staple punctures a stack of paper at the desired point and keeps the top and bottom sheets matched up. A simple front-end jam clearing mechanism prevents staples from getting stuck to further enhance ease of use. Staples are sold separately. For best results, use with Swingline series heavy duty staples in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" leg lengths. Deluxe model heavy duty stapler delivers accurate, precision stapling regardless of sheet count. Staples up to 160 sheets at a time with heavy duty staples. This is a very heavy package, weighing over 5 lbs. I use eBay's shipping calculator and will ship it the most economical way possible (which is usually FedEx Smart Post for heavy packages).
