The Keypad Module is a full alphanumeric keypad that attaches to the SPT1700, SPT1800, PPT2700 and PPT2800 Series terminals. It allows you to input data to the terminal or to a host PC through a cable connected to a communication port. The Symbol Technologies, Inc. Part Number is KBD-R000-35. These are handy little devices for turning your SPT 1700, SPT 1800, PPT 2700 and PPT 2800 Series terminals into a keyboard-capable computer. This keyboard will work with the following models: SPT1700 SPT1733 SPT1740 SPT1742 SPT1746 SPT1800 SPT1833 SPT1840 SPT1842 SPT1846 PPT2700 PPT2733 PPT2740 PPT2742 PPT2746 PPT2800 PPT2833 PPT2840 PPT2842 PPT2846 The item is in excellent condition. It was probably an o.e.m product for another manufacturer. It differs from the Symbol-logoed product in that the color is more of a purple than the gray ones from Symbol. Also there is a logo that has been rubbed off. It looks like it used to say "SUN" as in Sun Microsystems. This item comes with a quick-reference guide in printed format or Adobe Acrobat .pdf. I can tell you where to download the driver for your terminal from Symbol.com. The keyboard is guaranteed not to be DOA (dead on arrival).
