Description The Syngene G:Box Chemi XRQ gel doc system can be used for fluorescent and chemiluminescent imaging using a 4-million pixel CCD camera. The camera features lenses, filter wheels, and lighting that can be controlled by the click of a button. The GeneSys software allows the user to control the camera, lighting, and evaluate images taken. This imaging system continues to be produced by Syngene. For more information, please see the manufacture's product data sheet here. This G:Box XRQ is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition, with minor signs of wear on the paint of the instrument. New Life Scientific technicians evaluate the Genesys software communication and mechanics of the XRQ, by controlling the lighting and camera from the PC. There are software updates on the Syngene product site available to download at now expense. The lighting options for this system include the UV-light box, white upper reflective lights, a UV to white conversion plate, the air-cooled and low noise CCD camera, and a power lens. The camera features a power focus, zoom, and iris functions, along with the UV06 filter wheel. This filter is a standard accessory for the chemi systems and fit for a 572-625 nm wavelength. The GeneSys, Geentools, and camera calibration CDs make this instrument ready for set up in any lab settings. There are five registration numbers for installing your software on multiple computers that work with Windows XP, 7, or 8 operating system and it is compatible with 64-bit editions. Syngene recommends that lab computers have a Windows professional system. The GeneSys software offers applications for chemiluminescent, chemifluoresent, and colormetric imaging of multiplex gel samples. Additionally, there is a colony counting feature that broadens the range of applications for this system.
