This mixer comes with a foam rack that holds up to (50) 12mm test tubes. The rack is placed on the mixer's tray, held in place by the support plate, and cushioned by the included tray pad. Additional foam racks (sold separately) are available to accommodate different test tube and centrifuge tube sizes. The unit has a microprocessor control that provides uniform mixing action, and is Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed. Vortex shakers are commonly used in laboratories to mix liquids.
