Protect Your Stuff Security Nut Specifications MATERIAL: Cold Rolled Steel CASE HARDEN: .003"-.008" to RC55-60 PLATING: Chloride Zinc with Yellow Chromate .0002"-.0005" Here's How the Security Nut Works A Security Nut is threaded onto a bolt, finger-tight A second nut is installed upside-down A wrench is inserted between the two nuts to tighten Once fastened, the second nut is removed To remove the Security Nut the process is followed in reverse Anchor setting tip:  Drill the hole for the concrete anchor 1" deeper than the overall length of the anchor.  If you ever remove the nut you can pound wedge anchor back into the hole to make it flush or recessed in the concrete.  This eliminates the need to grind off the anchor to prevent trip hazards  if the anchor is no longer needed in the future.  Set the wedge anchor first using the nut and washer it came with. Remove the nut and washer and follow the setting instruction for the Security Nut.
