This Tek-Pro S8250 stirrer has a nonmetallic Hercuvit top plates which assure that the surface will remain cool throughout the mixing process; no heat build-up due to stirring continuously, which is excellent for specific ion analysis. The item is used and looks a little worn, but functions extremely well.
