At the $400 BIN price you get the most feature packed 100MHz analog scope Tek could make circa 1990 (cost $4500 new) which included a dvm and a 200MHz frequency counter (both also capable of gated measurements, meaning measuring inside a user selected zone by highlighting). Works on any line voltage between 90 and 240 Vac without a 115/230 switch. Weighs only 8Kg (17 pounds). 2252 includes tv sync capability (V & H sync of composite video can cause confusion in normal trigger circuits by having same amplitude but vastly different rep rates). 2252, unique among analog scopes, features a printer dump command which can print the screen display onto Epson-compatible dot matrix printers of the late 80s-early 90s era. Print dump works best for a display that stays steady for a minute (the print digitizer is slow). Books for 2252 are similar to books for 2247A (which is similar but without print dump). First photo shows a gated frequency counter measurement inside an NTSC bar pattern (very few scope freq counters can do this). 2nd photo shows a gated digital voltage measurement of just the staircase steps of an NTSC gray scale pattern (very few DVMs can do this). 3rd shows accurate vertical deflection of a 2Vpp 1KHz square wave. 4th shows correct horiz deflection on a 10MHz impule train from aTG501A time mark gen, and freq counter measuring it too. 5th shows risetime capability of under 3nS, good for a 100MHz scope. Many probes fit this scope. Among Tek probes you can use P6101, P6105, P6106, P6109, P3010, P6062, P6063,... some can be found among my listings starting around $60.
