Tektronix 2707 External Tracking Generator 50 Ohm Output This tracking generator is designed to be used with the Tek 2711 and2712, spectrum analyzers. It is in excellent working condition. I show a pic of the unit connected to my Tek 2712 spectrum analyzer displaying the frequency response of a Tek limiter. The spectrum analyzer and limiter with connector cables are shown for operational condition of the tracking generator only and are not part of the listing for sale. It comes with the control cable, 50 Ohm SMA LO connector cable, 50 Ohm termination, Ops manual on CD, and the power cord. You do need a LO SMA out connector on your spectrum analyzer to use this. If you don't have one on your analyzer, I will give you instructions on installing one. It is not difficult. Operation of this unit is straight forward. You connect it to the analyzer. Power the tracking generator on first, then the analyzer. When you press the DEMOD/ TG menu button on the analyzer the tracking generator menu comes up. I show a pic of that for your reference. The selectable features are shown. I also have the spec sheet. If you would like me to email them to you for your consideration, contact me through the eBay system. So, why would you want to purchase an external tracking generator instead of a Tek 2711 or 2712 with it built in? The Tek 2711 and 2712 spectrum analyzers have one bay for options installation. If you need more than one option, the external tracking generator is the only option available as an add on external unit.
