Tektronix 7104 1ghz 4 Slot Oscilloscope Mainframe, Calibrated, Guaranteed

Offering Tektronix 7104, Tek's fastest mainframe, produced from 1978 until 1992. Cost $30000 new (for deep pockets like IBM, Lockheed, Cray, Livermore Labs, NASA,..) but can now by yours for a tiny fraction (about 3%), making it a great bargain! (I know some of you may be tempted to buy someone else's cheaper 7104 since some may be found at as low as $400 but all you'd know about it is if it consumes electricity, a far cry from what I offer). Besides very high bandwidth, it has an image intensifying CRT, like 2467B, ideally suited for observing low rep rate fast signals in normally lit rooms without need for shrouding screen from ambient light. While this scope works with the entire line of 7000series plugins, Tek warns that some plugins (or combinations) can harm its more delicate screen by leaving beam landing too long in 1 spot or area. Also unusual for this scope, is its very high 300MHz horizontal bandwidth.  Plugins are shown for demo purposes only and are not part of this sale (available separately). Please consult me for plugins you may need/want. I know you can find these models for less elsewhere on ebay: the difference is mine are thoroughly checked and fixed. Others sell them because they need fixing, I sell them because I first fix them (have since 1978), so you won't have to make that your first project (same holds for plugins).  At BIN you get a 7104 refurbed, freshly calibrated, and guaranteed  for 90 days. Since I have more than 1, photos may not be of the 1 you'll get, but rest assured it will run and look as well. At anything less than BIN, you will only get partial cal, partial refurb, and only 14 day guaranty. Please keep in mind even at BIN, you are offering me $1000, since ebay & paypal keep about 13% of the money you send. If you come up with a way to pay me $840 that does not cost you $950, I'll be ok with it, but ebay will not let me give you my direct contact info here. They will however give you all that info with any first purchase from me, however cheap (like a $5 handle decal that says "tektronix oscilloscope"), and then this could be your second purchase.      I did not use a tripod for photos which tend to add blur, but CRT is very bright, sharp, and crisp. All image intensifying screens develop some darkening in areas used repeatedly such as where readout numbers land, but I replace CRTs that have more than normal wear. First photo shows a dot hatch pattern generated by a pair of calibration fixtures. It shows V & H gains are correct, centering is correct, and screen is free from geometric distortions: tilt, barrel, pincushion,... 2nd photo shows cal gen lines coincide with screen etched lines. 3rd photo shows risetime capability of less than 350pS (time base sweeps at 200pS/div). 4th photo shows risetime capability of less than 350pS with an optionally available 7A29 plugin (time base sweeps at 200pS/div). 5th photo shows 4 traces of 4 channels using two 7A26 optionally available plugins, each is seeing 5mV 1KHz signal at 5/mV/div and 1mS/div. 6th thru 10th photos are views of front, rear, and sides. 11th is of optional cart. 12th is of optional probes.  Since I had 4 mainframes, and 1 sold, photos may not be of serial # you will get, but all were in similar and very good condition. Some have the EMI option 3 (better shielding) but if you work in strong EMI, your eyes will also need protection from developing cataracts. AVAILABLE EXTRAS (at extra cost; yes, it is possible to offer more than BIN): 7A29 single channel 1GHz 50ohm terminated vertical plugin (includes option 4) for $600 refurbed and calibrated; 7A13 100MHz Differential Comparator Plugin for for $250 refurbed+calibrated; 7A26 Dual Channel 250MHz Vertical Plugin for $180 refurbed+calibrated; 7B10 1GHz Timebase Plugin for $150 refurbed and calibrated; 7B15 1GHz Delaying Timebase for $180 refurbed and calibrated; Tek model 3 cart for $135 (seen in 11th photo, freight or pick up); P6063B switchable probes for $90/each (seen in 12th photo); P6201 FETprobe for $500. PLEASE DO NOT offer less than BIN on ebay unless you have my skills, tools, patience, and willingness to do my work yourself, which is what you will have to do if you pay me less. Offering less deletes my refurb (even changing a light bulb on this scope is a delicate task), cal, and guaranty.   If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.... PLEASE NOTE: Due to its high performance, there were export restrictions when this scope came out, and there may still be to some countries. If you are in one of those places, or if 1GHz is overkill for your applications, I also offer the 7904A mainframe at about half the price, on which as far as I know, there are none. They look very similar (size, shape, buttons layout,...) but 7904A is 500MHz and has a normal CRT.   California resident buyers pay sales tax. Too big for mailing. It is also at the limit of box size for Ebay's Global shipping program (30 X 18 X 18"). I pack plugins separtely from mainframe, as did Tek, for safer travel, so if you buy plugins, please be ready to pay extra for their shipping. Ebay has a Global Shipping Program to many foreign countries. GSP bases your import tax on BIN price, but if you pay less (by making an offer for less), tax will be less, and you can quickly make it up the difference in a 2nd paypal payment, since I'm sure you wouldn't wnat to cut my pay for helping you save on taxes. To countries not served by GSP, there is UPS which is expensive, and FEDEX, which is about as much, unless I contact them for a better rate, which I can only do if I have your exact address (not PO Box).  HURRY INCENTIVE: If you pay BIN price by 25 Feb 15, I shall ADD a 7B10 and 7B15 Timebase Plugins FREE (the plugins are free but it's safe shipping requires a separate box which is not included in ebay's shipping calculator, so you will  you to pay for their separate shipping if you want them).
Plugins shown in photos are not part of this sale, but available separately. Ebay catalog thinks it is a digital phosphor scope - it is not
