Scope probe ground lead inductance can significantly reduce the performance of the probe. See the section from the P6137 manual in the auction pictures for the technical details. For 2.5mm and 3.5mm Series probes Tek offers a ground collar (343-1003-01) and a low inductance ground lead (195-4240-00) which improves the probe performance. But there are times when this ground connection scheme isn't needed. Rather than swap out the ground lead connection portion of the probe you can simply disconnect the low inductance ground lead and substitute an 8" ground lead with a SMT KlipChip (206-0364-00). No need to bother disassembling and reassembling the probe.
