This scope is very very clean. Last calibration was in 2008, and it passes Signal Path Compensation like a charm. I don't have a suitable DOS machine to run it anymore. Disclosure: 1) I did open the scope to inspect the Motherboard (haven't pulled it apart further). The Capacitors look good - so you have time to replace them... 2) The CMOS battery backup chips still work, the clock is still fairly accurate, but will need replacements in the future. I have some Maxim DS1486 DIP chips, which are older too, but you could use those to change the battery if you want to. I can include 3 of them for you. The DS1250 series is still available. I will guarantee that this scope passes SPC, but cannot guarantee battery life. Shipping temperatures could affect it, although this time of year it should actually not be an issue. Also this scope does come with a 14 day non-DOA warranty. Contact me if there is any issue.
