I purchased this TEKTRONIX TYPE 130 L-C METER Serial Number 008662 for my use several years ago. It was in good working condition then and has been a Good Performer, but has not been used in a while, so I wanted to test it out and check several readings. The unit is in Very Good condition. There are plenty of pictures so please look and ask any questions. Notice in the pictures that the unit is Very Clean inside, well cared for and not abused. I put the unit on a Variac and brought it up and let it run for a couple of hours at 117V. I tested a few cap's with it and those tested within spec's. I then pulled all tubes and checked them on my Hickok 600A, they all tested good, but I like to have strong tubes when I am checking the accuracy of a unit, so I replaced the following tubes, the 6BH6, 6X4, 6BQ7A and two of the 6U8 tubes. (note my tester will not test the OA2 Voltage Regulator tube, most will not except a few models. The best test for this tube if possible, is in circuit and measure the voltage drop across the anode and cathode... see picture #4) Picture #3 is a reading of the fixed oscillator at 140.1KHz, manual spec's call for 140KHz +/- 500Hz. Picture #4 is a reading of the B+ voltage at 150.2vdc, manual spec's is 150vdc. This reading also reflects that the OA2 VR tube is properly operating and regulating within tube spec's. (note I also checked the unregulated line at 267vdc, manual spec's call for a nominal 270vdc, have pic, could not upload due to pic limit.) The following capacitors that were tested had a 5% tolerance. Picture #5 is a 22pF cap reading 22.5pF on the 30pF scale. Picture #6 is a 68pF cap reading 68pF on the 100pF scale (in brown lettering) Picture #7 is a 150pF cap reading about 151.5pF on the 300pF scale. Picture #8 is a 250pF cap reading about 251pF on the 300pF scale. Picture #9 is a RF Coil with spec sheet showing 114uH-240uH. (note that I have a tuning slug tool inserted, I adjusted the coil to both ends and took readings.) Picture #10 is a reading on the low end of about 114uH...note the meter is set to the 300uH scale. Picture #11 is a reading on the high end of about 242-243uH, again on the 300uH scale. Picture #12 is a reading of a RF Choke coil rated at 100uH 10%...reading about 98uH on the 100uH scale. (brown lettering) Also included is the Power Cord, a PL-259 to Banana Jack Plug for testing or connecting a lead, and a Bound Copy of the Manual. (Everything in Picture #1) Sold As Is.
