Inductive Telephone Recording Adapter This device is an inductive 'microphone', it records telephone conversations by means of inductive coupling. That means it picks up the magnetic field created by your phone's speaker or transformer; both sides of the conversation are transmitted into your recording device. It works on most (but not all) regular phones, and some cell phones. The suction cup should be mounted behind the speaker of the handset, the 3.5mm mono (1/8th inch) connector plugs into your recording device.
