Temperature chamber Bemco Tensile FTU3.2 univeral test machine 1000 DEG F Bemco Temperature chamber for fitment on two and four post universal testing machines. Chamber provides a temperature controlled environment from -100 to 1000 deg F for specimens under tensile and/or compressive loads. The chamber is mounted on a special stand that supports the weight of the chmaber so it does not need to mount to the universal testing machine. Stand is the rear loading stradle type and it lifts the chamber with a hydraulic cylinder. The are no hydraulic controls or supply included, only the lifting cylinder. The unit was tested up to 800 Deg and it worked very well. The blower motor is very quiet and the controller maintains the setpoint to within a few degrees. Overall the chamber is in very good operating condition. Control box contains an Omega digital temperature controller and switches for the heater power levels and cooling feature. The heaters are split-up into low, med and high circuits with a switch corresponding to each circuit. The controller only powers the heaters that are switched on. Testing the chamber on medium heat yielded a warm-up time to 800 DEG F of about an hour. Using the high switch, the chamber heated to 800 DEG in about 10-15 min. The overtemp controller is mounted in the rear of the chamber and is adjustable via screw driver through the rear electrical panel. Being the chamber is an older model there are scratches and minor dings and due to the higher temperature capability, the interior stainless steel is has been darkened but none of these flaws prevent it from being presentable.
