We ship in ONE DAY during the work week. I'm pleased to offer here on Ebay a hard to to find Tepco J-317 FM Translator - C158ACJ-317. The S/N is T1121. Input on back says 210 and output says 219. A piece of tape on it says Ouput 91.7 This came from working service at a local public radio station. Powers up fine. Fully guaranteed. These retail for $3000. Not here. Check out feedback, bid with confidence. I gleaned this info off the net, not sure how accurate it is: The J-317 has been type accepted for use under the 1991 FCC rule changes and meets or exceeds all past and present applicable FCC part #74 requirements. RF output is now variable, determined by factors at the translator site. As a result, this unit has been TYPE ACCEPTED for 4-12 watts and is approved to drive higher powered amplifiers such as Tepco's 250 watt amplifier, model J3250. The new, tighter FCC frequency tolerance of +/-2000 Hz is easily met by this unit. Special improved ceramic IF filters address today's "busy" sites and are considered standard equipment. Two types of downconverters are available: A crystal controlled version for those sites where maximum sensitivity and immunity to interference is required and a snthesized version requiring no retuning for a receive frequency change. The J-317 is not a converted exciter or baseband unit, but is a dual heterodyne conversion FM translator. All modules employ optimized time proven circuits which have been used in Tepco models for many years.This unit utilizes a MOSFET front end, dual gate mixing, ceramic IF filter networks, two independent AGC loops, five stages of limiting, and positive muting action. The RF output is regulated for signal variation and line voltage changes. Additionally, the output power stage is protected in the event of serious load changes by a special power reduction circuit. For locally originated announcements, as per FCC requirements, an optional built-in audio exciter is available (see FMT-34 FM Modulator under accessories). A high quality demodulated output is built in for subabudible tone controls and monitoring. The J-317 can also be configured for "SATALATOR" service, i.e.. mono, stereo, or composite audio input.
