This listing is for a tested and guaranteed PCI-8331, MXI-4 interface board for PCI, as shown. The board has assembly # 189051D-01, SN 13A2D2D, same as shown in photos. The board was tested by installing into a Windows 7 PC, and successfully detecting, connecting, and communicating with a populated PXI-1042 chassis with a PXI-8331 (not included, available in separate listing), and ensuring error free communications, control and monitoring via host PC host, using a NI MXI-4 cable (not included). This listing is for the PCI-8331 board only as shown, no other items are included. If buyer purchases both of our offered PCI-8331 board and PXI-8331 module together, we will at no additional cost provide a used and in good usable condition, National Instruments (NI) MXI-4 copper cable, and also a new MXI-4 software kit which includes a "Set Up Your MXI-4 System" document, a Device Driver Reference CD dated November 2005, and a PXI Controller Resource CD version 1.4, copyright 2005 (this software & documentation set was provided with a complete NI PCI-PXI-8331 set). MXI-4 provides remote control of PXI systems from PCI computers by implementing a PCI-PCI bridge over a high-bandwidth link. This link is transparent to software applications and drivers, so industry-standard desktop computers and servers can control PXI systems with no additional programming. With MXI-4, you can use PXI modules as if they are PCI modules directly installed in your computer. You can also use two NI PXI-8331 modules for linking multiple PXI chassis.
