This listing is for one (multiple available) used and fully tested National Instruments (NI) PCIe-8431/8, 8-port RS485/RS422 interface for PCI Express (PCIe). The board testing included passing all NI Serial troubleshooting self-tests for board and all ports, and an external loopback test of each port which included control/handshake lines. This listing is for a board and cable set as shown only, no software, documentation or other items are included. The set shown is one for sale and is representative of all available- each have same assembly numbers, fully tested and in excellent condition. Board documentation and NI Serial software are available for download from NI website. From NI- The NI PCIe-8431/8 is a high-performance, 8-port asynchronous serial interface for high-speed communication with RS485 and RS422 devices at rates of up to 3 Mbit/s. NI high-performance RS485 and RS422 interfaces are available with up to 16 ports. The NI PCIe-8431/8 offers flexible baud rates for data transmissions between 2 baud and 3,000,000 baud with better than 0.015 percent accuracy for standard baud rates, 0.5 percent for nonstandard baud rates, and 1.3 percent above 1 Mbit/s. NI 843x serial interfaces feature high-performance DMA transfers, multithreading, and multiprocessor support. Unlike traditional interrupt-based serial interfaces, you can use multiple NI serial interfaces to communicate with dozens of ports at high rates effortlessly in a single system with minimal CPU usage. NI serial interfaces also show up as standard COM ports for compatibility with programs that use serial communications. Compatible with Windows and LabVIEW Real-Time OSs Selectable 4- and 2-wire transceiver modes for full- and half-duplex communication High-speed DMA interface minimizes CPU overhead; 128 B transmit and receive FIFOs Flexible standard and nonstandard baud rates from 2 baud to 3,000,000 baud Includes 8-port breakout cable (68-pin VHDCI to eight D-Sub 9-pin male ports) The PCIe-8431/8 board and cable will be well packaged and sent by USPS Priority Mail, insured, signature required. Board and cable may have minor cosmetic wear that does not affect function or performance. This board is PCIe / PCI Express bus compatible only and is not compatible with standard PCI bus. The board includes the 8-port cable which provides a DB9 male connector for each of the 8 ports. Photos are of one of units for sale, representative of all.”
