Fully tested, used, National Instruments (NI) PXI-8186 embedded real-time controller, in original NI shield bag as shown, with 60GB hard drive and 1GB memory. The controller is running Win XP Pro SP3, with NI DAQmx device drivers installed. The controller has assembly part # 189792C-712, same controller shown. Only the controller is included as shown. The GPIB interface was tested with an NI X13 cable, and detected and communicated with GPIB device properly (see screen shot of GPIB interface communicating with Agilent 33120A function generator, also screen shot of device drivers shows GPIB installed and working). Was able to use a USB mouse and keyboard without problem to operate, did not use PS/2 devices - if you would like to use PS/2 mouse and keyboard and need a NI splitter cable, one will be provided at no additional charge-- just send request by ebay message at time of purchase. An external CD/DVD drive or networked drives can be connected to access software/driver updates or for new installations of operating systems or applications. An Acronis original installation restoration image is available (installed- can be seen in device drivers list) which should bring back the controller to the original NI shipped state which is NI OEM XP Pro SP2. From NI- The The NI PXI-8186 PXI/CompactPCI embedded computer is a high-performance PXI/CompactPCI-compatible system controller. The NI PXI-8186 controller integrates standard I/O features in a single unit by using state-of-the-art packaging. Combining an NI PXI-8186 embedded controller with a PXI-compatible chassis, such as the PXI-1042, results in a fully PC-compatible computer in a compact, rugged package. The NI PXI-8186 has a 2.2 GHz processor, all the standard I/O, a second serial port, a PCI-based GPIB controller, and a 20 GB (or larger) hard drive. The NI PXI-8186 is a modular PC in a PXI 3U-size form factor. The PXI-8186 controller will be well packaged and sent in box via USPS Priority Mail, signature required, insured.
