Сeva, France COMPOSITION : Oxytetracycline 200 mg Excipients q.s. 1ml PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES: Tetravet LA is a long acting antibacterial preparation containing oxytetracycline active substance. Oxytetracycline belong to group of tetracyclines. It inhibits the bacterial protein synthesis and has a activity against to wide range of Gram positive and gram negative bacteria such as Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella spp., Proteus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Corynabacterium spp., Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Moraxella spp., as well as Mycoplasma, Chlamydia and Rickettsia. Indications : Tetravet LA is intended for treatment of diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline in cattle, sheep, goat and pig. Contra-indications: Do not use in case of allergy to oxytetracycline or any other substance of the tetracycline group. Do not use in cases of known resistance to tetracyclines. Side effects: Some transient slight reactions can appear at the injection site (tumefaction, pain). Method of administration: Intramuscular route. 1 ml of Tetravet LA per 10 kg body weight (20 mg active ingredient/ body weight kg). It can be repeated on the third day if necessary. Administered dose should not exceed 20 ml per injection site in cattle, 10 ml in pig and 5 ml in sheep or goat. Withdrawal periods: Meat and offal: 21 days Milk: 7 days (14 milking). Storage condition: Store in cool dry, dark place temperature 5°C- 25°C. Shelf-life: As packaged for sale: 2 years.
