Textron (bridgeport) Milling Machine Dro No Reserve

US $19000

Textron DRO, manufactured about 1983. No Reserve. Most of what the successful bidder will pay will be for shipping. This includes glass scales for both horizontal axis, all cabling and mounting hardware. The display works fine, but sometimes, when moving the x-axis to the left, using either power feed or manual movement, it skips or freezes up momentarily. I tried cleaning the glass scale, but it still acts up on occasion. It does not tend to act this way when one slowly hand cranks the handle. The Y-axis works fine. See the Youtube short video at I've not used all the functions with this unit, so I cannot confirm them as working. I will include a photocopy of the original manual. The X-axis scale & shroud mounts to the slot on the front of the table, and I've included photos of how the Y-axis scale & shroud mounted on the right hand side of the mill. I will firmly affix and tape the read heads to the scale units, to protect from damage while shipping. The maximum X-axis range is approximately 26.8" and the Y-axis is approximately 11.5". X-axis scale was mounted on the front of my mill, but there's no reason it couldn't be mounted in back of the table if you do not mind losing about 2" of travel. 115 VAC required, @ 0.5 amps. I cannot give any kind of warranty with this unit, which is why I'm selling it so cheap.
