Stand up and testify if you have ever used one of these while shucking the "down" row!!!! This handheld tool was used to harvest corn. You wore it on your four fingers and used the peg with your thumb to strip the corn husk off the ear, twist the ear out of the shuck, and throw it into the horse drawn wagon bed. The down row was the row of corn that was "downed" when the horses/wagons ran over it....It didn't do much for your back when you had to stoop and "shuck the down row". Peg is intact and is in good, usable condition. The logo information is printed on the back and has become obscured and illegible. You can make out the great state of Illinois and not much else.
