The Fifteen Dollar a Day Diablo™ book tells the story of the award winning Lamborghini replica that I put together on a budget of just $15 a day. This is not a common 'kit car' chassis with a flimsy body tossed on. This is a STOUT full sized 7 liter 3,750 pound car that feels and looks like a real supercar.  It uses all full size GM components and a big V8 engine.  The original "assembly guide" was painstakingly compiled during the development this do-it-yourself home built supercar. Over time, thousands of copies of the guide have been distributed to kit car builders around the world and many readers have since contacted us to give us their suggestions and success stories.  With input from our supporters we have carefully re-edited the book's more than 14,000 words and five dozen color photos into a even more concise and informative guide on CD. We've also now included information from the Department of Motor Vehicles such as "Definition of a Specially Constructed Vehicle", "Specially Constructed Vehicle Registration Requirements", and "Engine Change Guidelines". The information we include is sure to provide you with priceless insight into the secrets of how this remarkable car is designed and assembled..... The original hard cover book is no longer in print but today the entire book and much more are available on computer compact disc (CD ROM). The CD contains information on the car's major areas of interest including the chassis, suspension, interior, doors, drive train, and wing....  all built on a budget of just $15 dollars a day! There is also an eye opening index of the description, price, and point of purchase of over 600 off- the-shelf components.  What cheap stock 7 liter frame and drive train can be used in the rear without re-configuring or engine adapters? What common full sized vehicle frame, suspension, and steering fits under the front?  What off-the-shelf and junk yard parts can be re-arranged into a Lamborghini Diablo? What am I getting myself into?  Get your copy of the CD and find out! If you need to learn basic automotive skills or need blueprints this is NOT going to help.  The material in the book is meant to give you a realistic look at the scope of the project and provide an overview of the innovative design.  We'll tell you the secrets of what parts to use providing enough information for to you repeat what I did, but , you'll need to know basic fabrication and automotive skills already. In addition, the book is meant to provide insight on what I was able to accomplish for very little  money (relatively speaking).  The patterns and plans that I do provide are very basic but will give you and idea of the basic skills you'll need to build a car just like mine.   Many people already have.... We will also provide you with access to other build stories, photos from professional photo shoots, instructions on building your own body, and the techniques for using the more common "stretch a small donor car" approach.  As a member of the LamborghiniReplica™ community, we'll even help you sell your completed car or partially finished project. "If you are planning to build your own Lamborghini Replica discover a cheaper and better way with my CD.... this should be the first few dollars you spend".     -Fred Nelson Since 1999 we've been helping builders from all around the world.  See what it takes to build a RELIABLE, AGILE, FAST, LEGAL, and RESPECTABLE Lamborghini replica on a tight budget without saying the "F" word (NO NO NO Fiero parts here). The parts list alone reveals dozens of secrets.   Legal stuff: Be advised, home-built motor vehicle laws change routinely and vary worldwide.  Check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent) for up-to-date "specially constructed vehicle" requirements. The publisher makes no warranty as to the accuracy or effectiveness of the material contained on this CD and assumes no liability. Information on the CD is not intended for re-sale and may not be copied, duplicated, or transmitted in any way except for quotations used in a review.
