Untitled Document New Hinge Doctor HA13D Tool Set, from GKL Products. Now you can adjust hinges 2 ways in only 30 seconds. You get the two most popular Hinge Doctor tools for commercial doors, with the new notched feature, which allows you to adjust hinges two ways. Includes instructions, too. Method 1: Close the door, slip the correct Hinge Doctor tool over the top hinge. Slowly open the door 3-4" more, after feeling resistance. Close the door, remove the Hinge Doctor tool. Check the door, to see if everything is working correctly. On occasion, you'll have to repeat it again, or use the same process on the middle hinge. It is rare to have a problem with the bottom hinge. Method 2: Close the door, slip the correct Hinge Doctor tool over the top hinge. Use an adjustable wrench, fitting it on the notch in the new Hinge Doctor tool. Apply moderate pressure, as described in the instructions. Remove tool, and check door. If necessary, repeat. These tools work for standard 4.5" x 4.5" and 5" x 5" hinges, non-ball bearing and ball bearing alike. Please make sure you use the right tool for the right hinge. If the Hinge Doctor fits too loosely over the knuckle of the hinge, try the next size up Hinge Doctor. Using the wrong size Hinge Doctor tool may ruin it.
