Hardback in blue cloth with 191 pages. b&w photographic illustrations throughout. Bumping to board corners. Fading to spine and a bottom section of front and back boards. A few slight knocks to board edges. Small label of "Aitken Dott & Son, 26, South Castle St, Edinburgh" to bottom of front pastedown endpaper. "Robert Bell & Son, Joiners" written on top corner of front free endpaper. Some slight soiling and faint fingermarks to endpapers. A few minor brown marks to page 110, see image. Slight separation / pulling to the guttering between pages 160 and 161 but binders thread and scrim intact and pages secure. Bumping at corners of textblock resulting in slight creasing to some page corners. Contents age toned but clean. A fantastic insight into 1950's shop design. Please scroll down to view images.
